How does the gift card program benefit WLYC?
A:
When you need to make a purchase from any of our 233 partners, instead of using a credit card or debit or cash, purchase gift cards through the “WLYC Button” above, and use those to pay. Every time you purchase a gift card, WLYC receives a donation!

A:
233 of Ontario’s most popular retailers; H&M, Gap, Staples, Toys R Us, Walmart, Amazon, Winners, Best Buy, Cineplex, Indigo, Petro Canada, Esso, Shell, Longos, Loblaws, Metro, Sobeys, Sephora, Shoppers Drug Mart, IKEA, Canadian Tire, The Home Depot, Tim Hortons, The Keg, Starbucks, Apple, Pet Smart, Golf Town, the largest shopping malls in the GTA, and 200 more!

The participating retailers are making the donations every time you purchase their gift cards.

A:
Click the Support WLYC button above, click “support now” on the fundraising page, create an account, and shop away.

Can I share this with my friends?
A:
Absolutely! Feel free to share this link with anyone you want (especially through social media) – http://wlycgiftcard.com. That will bring them directly to this page so they can learn how to support WLYC through buying gift cards. The more gift cards purchased, the more that is donated to WLYC!

Isn’t it more complicated to do this?
A:
All we’re asking you to do is purchase gift cards in advance based on how much you are already purchasing with these retailers, so you can use those gift cards as currency. Just doing that results in donations to WLYC. And you still get your points/air miles by purchasing the gift cards, so technically, you win twice!
Q:
What methods of payment are supported for the purchasing of gift cards?
A:
You can purchase gift cards with EFT (electronic fund transfer) or online bill payment, or you can use Visa and Mastercard. Unfortunately (as is always the case with credit cards), processing fees slightly cut into our revenues, so if you can use the EFT or online bill payment options, WLYC will benefit even more.
