The We Love You Connie Foundation was created in the Loving Memory and Honour of a brave, enthusiastic, compassionate, beautiful and creative special little girl named Connie Monica Guglietti to help find a CURE for DIPG. All money raised will support leading hospitals' improved care, most promising research, and the future CURE of DIPG.

what is

DIPG?

Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma, known as DIPG, is a highly aggressive brain tumor found at the base of the brain. This rare tumor is a type of glioma, which means it originates from glial cells which function to protect the nerve cells in the brain. The tumor is located in a critical portion of the brain which controls many important functions including breathing, swallowing, blood pressure, and more. DIPG is found almost exclusively in children under the age of 10 and currently has no effective treatments.

AffectWho Does it Affect

DIPG is typically diagnosed in children between the age of 5 and 9. It affects boys and girls equally. Generally, this type of tumor does not occur in adults.

Unfortunately, the prognosis for DIPG is very poor. It is unknown what causes DIPG and in the absence of effective treatment, DIPG is a fatal diagnosis. It is the leading cause of brain tumor death in childhood.
